Winning InfoTrack's 'Take Me To Australia' Competition.

Words by Megan O'Neill - 2017 winner

When I received the call to tell me that I had won a trip to Australia, I was completely shocked. My firm had not long started using InfoTrack and I was aware of the competition but I hadn't even considered that I would actually win. After running around the office excitedly telling my co-workers, I called my partner to tell him the great news. He thought that it must be a scam - or have a big catch attached to it! We had only recently decided that we couldn't really afford a honeymoon after our wedding and so winning this competition was a dream come true.

We flew to Australia on the 2nd of June and arrived at a lovely hotel in Darling Harbour, Sydney. We spent a few days exploring Sydney and fell in love with the Chinese Garden of Friendship and the Royal Botanic Garden. We took a day tour to the Blue Mountains which was absolutely beautiful, and spent another day visiting Manly and relaxing by the beach. Sydney was such a friendly and exciting city.

We visited the InfoTrack Sydney Office and InfoTrack's CEO, John Ahern, very kindly took time out of his schedule to give us a guided tour of the office and take us to lunch. I was able to learn a lot more about the software and also had the opportunity to see the wonderful working environment they have provided for their staff. It really easy to see why InfoTrack is so easy to use, everyone is so kind and helpful. We then had an excellent lunch at Cafe Sydney overlooking the Harbour Bridge (I particularly enjoyed the meringue cocktail!)

After visiting Sydney, we flew to Cairns to stay in Port Douglas. As soon as we stepped out of the car we were greeted by the sounds of tropical birds chirping and tree frogs ribbiting so we knew we were staying somewhere special. Port Douglas provided a luxurious week of warmth, relaxation and adventure. We visited the Daintree Rainforest which is definitely now one of my favourite places in the world, and we had a day tour to the Great Barrier Reef which was just as amazing as I imagined.

We finished the holiday with a few days in Melbourne. We made it our mission to visit as many coffee shops as we could fit in and had a really fun day of visiting the Royal Botanic Gardens and the aquarium. Melbourne was the perfect way to end the holiday and had amazing food, coffee and people.

I have never fallen in love with a county so quickly and I am so thankful to InfoTrack for not only helping us visit Australia but also giving us memories that we will treasure for a lifetime.
